[There's a slight bit of hesitation there. But if there's anyone who deserves answers on that front, it's Peter. They almost killed him, and he's the one who repaired them. He's really the only person in this world who knows anything about their systems outside of Otto himself.

(It occurs to him that's probably an oversight. If something were to happen, Peter shouldn't bear responsibility for fixing it again. He just isn't sure who else he trusts that far.)]


The...accident only happened a few months before I arrived in your world. But I'd worked with them extensively before that - testing, calibration, practice sessions.

I will say, it's different now. There wasn't such a connection, before.
