"Maybe more like how people don't understand that global warming is behind those crazy-weird blizzards we've been getting. There's a kind of turbulence in the currents of the timestream, but there are also channels it wants to flow in. So while shifting the path is possible, it generally doesn't move too far. Chaotic systems can still allow for general predictions, or nobody would bother consulting the weather report," he says, figuring a little science is fine. He has his own nerd moments sometimes, they just aren't as obvious.
