Jean looks up from having dropped her pin into her bag, still amused at the girl rushing by, seemingly just trying to get rid of them, and doesn't expect the face she sees another a booth and a half away now. She wasn't sure whether anything short of something pulling X-23 out of the woods physically was going to make that happen anytime soon. She'd been torn between biding her time with letting the girl come out at her own speed or asking some morning before he headed off into the city, if Logan would go in and check on her.

There is a bit of a 'what can you do' air to Jean's smile, the barest touch of a chagrin without a hint of shame, because there's still that swirl of several sparkling heart balloons above her head that seem to be going nowhere else fast. But that's not going to stop her.
