David continuing to enthusiastically eat what he's made is exactly the kind of praise that fills Balthier to brimming.

And wanting to investigate his magic together isn't far behind.

"Alright try everything and after that I won't complain if you only want to eat one thing." He has one other appetizer but he likes to eat them at the end, always has, so he'll save them a bit longer.
