"And you picked up on the part where I died and not that I haven't technically even been born yet? Weird," Bart said, but he smiles to try to take the sting out of it.

"My life is about three standard deviations past normal into impossibly strange. But when fate says someone's supposed to die on a certain day, that's usually what happens. Didn't sign up for the encore, but my friends at least are glad I came back."

A pause. "Wasn't exactly in the Underworld, though. At least, I don't think the Speed Force goes there."
