I don't know, a while. It's not as simple as a lot of people think. That's why there are agricultural colleges because sometimes they come up with better farming practices and people taking over their parents' farms feel like they need more education on it.
Ma and Pa actually have a bunch of subscriptions to Ag magazines and journals. You have to know some science stuff. Animal husbandry is also a whole thing, because it's not like a vet comes for every birth and you need to know some health stuff in the day to day to prevent things from getting bad. You definitely need to know anatomy stuff. Like you need to know enough about cow feet if you want to do the hoof trimming yourself instead of hiring somebody every time.
