Lawful in the tabletop meaning. It means that you have a code that you'll adhere to religiously. Not the government's or B's.

You're not a true neutral - you have hard limits, so your choices are chaotic good or lawful neutral in my opinion. And I appreciate you thinking that this is somehow a step too far for me.
