Yes, well...that was the idea. Their reaction times are much better than any human's. It could've saved the user's life.

[He's retreating into the way he'd speak about them before, a little. Back when they were just tools he'd developed - when he wasn't even going to be the person using them to operate the reactor day-to-day. It's an odd thing to think about now: how, if it hadn't all gone wrong, he'd eventually have just trained someone else on their operation and walked away, never to use them again.]
