She wrinkled her nose, finishing off her coffee and crunching the paper cup in one hand, and straightened up to approach him.
Her appearance didn't exactly inspire confidence. Nor - to be honest - did her smell, which made it very clear that whatever she was into, it wasn't bathing. Still, by her standards, her tone was friendly enough.
"This is just how you do comics in real life. Dress everyone in costumes, take pictures for the front page, ooh and ahh at the ubermensch. It's the same propaganda, just... 3D. If the comics didn't prepare you for it, maybe you were reading the comics wrong."
