Otto waves a hand dismissively. "Doesn't count. They're one of a kind. If I'd had the time, I would have shared the tech more widely, but...well, you know how it is." He doesn't know that Mark is also an off-world meta, of course, but it's pretty widely known that Otto himself is. Everybody knows that they were all taken away in the middle of things.

Of course, that isn't the real reason at all. It's just easier, most of the time, to let people assume so.
