The Zoom session thing is not a bad idea either, if he knew what Zoom was. He'll have to figure it out.

"It's probably, like, a twelve?" he said as he stepped aside with her. "I mean, I'm certain webdesign and programming is hard as hell. The internet has only gotten way more complex since I was a kid and had to take programming classes at school. But it's the whole 'I have a cell phone and a tripod for it' thing, pretty bad. Like, even stuff like that Squarespace place, everyone knows it LOOKS good but it's not really FULLY professional. but everyone is an amateur thinking they're a pro these days."

It's troublesome for him. LIke, there are even really good amateurs who work hard and have good gear. But it's still tiring.

"So they get angry about my rates. And It's hard to say 'you're not just paying for me, you're paying for my literal degree in this, and years of experience, and the use of my thousands of dollars of professional equipment, and my years of experience and training with photo software. It's a LOT."

And still, in the end, hourlies don't fully cover it. He should look for a roommate. And give in to join a guild.
