“I don’t love the idea that I currently can’t go home,” he admits. “But I’m not sure that I’d like to jump back into the moment I left either.” He had such a complicated relationship to Ivalice already, but it wasn’t just Ivalice. It was the whole of the region, of the world. The loss hasn’t hit yet but he suspects it will. That’s usually how these things go with him. He’s hoping to be good and busy before the other shoe drops.
