It's not weird or stupid. [ Both the gang being back together and the feeling of hope.

And, yes, David's dreamy grin gives him away. Laurie's expression of emotion is still off-kilter sometimes, but her perception of it is pretty alright. She takes and drink and rest her cheek against her fist, elbow propped on the bar. ]
