Oh yes, there were definitely sudden changes in direction. And David reached out once more for the bird, jumping onto the back of a bench. Teetering. And, lacking all of the pure balance and grace of a cat, immediately started to fall. Which was, of course, not pleasant. Led to him growling in displeasure.
