It is very strange to see David like this, and if he wasn't sincerely worried for his boyfriend's wellbeing, it might be hilarious. Or cute.

Balthier leads the bird -- and with it, David -- back toward him, close enough to grab David again. He drops the illusion and begins to scratch David on one of those big fluffy ears, holding onto him with his other arm. If he's a cat, then maybe Balthier can use cat tricks to get him to stop moving.
