Balthier doesn't know what a filter is, and isn't entirely aware of how he fixed David's situation. But he's glad it's two for two on not causing any lasting damage.

"Do you know what triggered the spell? Does he have an object, do we need to incapacitate his hands?"

Because Balthier really wants him off the street. And he's thinking about how to do that given their resources and limits.
