It's Raining Supermen [The first thing he notices as we he awakes is the whistling of the air as it whips by him. The second is feeling of wet on his face as he flies through the sheets of water on their way to the ground. As he opens his eyes, Flint realizes this is a fate they seemed destined to share. Bracing for impact, he finds himself surprised at the lack of force he experiences despite the amount of destruction around him that shows he clearly landed with a bang. As he lays supine on the cold, damp ground, Flint wonders at the mysterious force that scooped him up and deposited him here without injury. Realizing staring up at the sky would yield no answers, he begrudgingly pulled himself up and out of the crater his impact had caused.
Once on level ground, he finds he is surrounded by craters such as his own and in the sky more people are still falling. Further out, he can make out a crowd of people pointing strange devices at him that occasionally erupt in bursts of bright light that sting his eyes. Flint raises his hand to shield his eyes and as soon as he does a wall of unknown material appears in front of him cutting him off from the crowd. Feeling strange about the coincidence, he then wonders if the wall could shelter him from the rain as well. As soon as the thought is finished another wall appears and he is no longer being rained upon. Filled with relief that his immediate annoyances have been dealt with, he finds himself puzzling his next move. Realizing for worse or better the course of his life has been decided by falling into a hole, Flint decides to jump into the crater nearest his own. Another person may be better equipped to analyze the situation. Flint enthusiastically leaps down into the nearest crater and lands firmly on two feet and calls out to the occupant ]
Hello, my name is Flint. I believe we may find ourselves in a similar predicament and was hoping that together we may see ourselves out of it.
Crypto or Cryptid
[Having rallied around some of the other recent arrivals, Flint finds their conference broken by screams from above. Peering into the sky, he can see that there appear to be formerly flying vehicles that are now plummeting to the ground. As he watches, the first one hits the ground with a mechanical crash. Unlike his own fall, this impact deals damage to the falling item. From behind him, he hears someone yell that there are people in there. This gets Flint moving and he runs towards the nearest stricken vehicle. Sure enough, there are two passengers slumped over inside and apparently unconscious. Flint rips the door off the vehicle and removes the first passenger and hands them to the person who followed. Swiftly he grabs the other passenger and turns to his fellow rescuer, ]
Where should we take these people? I'm not really trained to render medical assistance.
Power Restored
[Flint's chaotic day is finally coming to a close. While it doesn't all make sense, at least the voice reassures him that the situation is being looked into and may get resolved. With the greater matters in someone else's hands, Flint confines himself to trying to solve his immediate issues. Having been handed two devices, that he does not recognize he begins to try and make sense of them with increasing frustration. Realizing he is out of his depth, he looks around for someone who is actively operating their "phone" and appears to know its functions. Finding one such person, he approaches them. ]
Excuse me, but I seem to find myself further behind that most in my understanding of this world. I don't suppose you would be willing or able to assist me with the operation of these devices.
