[Otto's not ready to start any new projects himself. He's not sure he's going to do any actual inventing again for...a long while, if ever. It really is more of a practical concern with the actuators; there's regular maintenance to think about, and he sure as hell won't want to travel if anything ever goes wrong.

Inviting Norman along had felt natural. God knows they both need to get out more. And yes, maybe he'd hoped that they could remain closer to each other, too, but it's not until Norman reacts that he realizes exactly how that sounded. The thing of it is, Otto wouldn't mind staying together, as roommates, at all. If he's honest, he's...rather dreading the idea of living alone. He and Rosie met so young that he never really has.

I...thought we'd likely both end up in the city for work, anyway. And it'd be nice to have at least one neighbor who doesn't cringe when they see me coming.
