While the landings seemed controlled and nice, he'd found in the past that some people, dealing with the sudden manifestation of new powers, got themselves in trouble. So he'd gone to check on the arrivals as all things started, only to have his attention caught by a frightfully familiar wisp of red energy.

Wanda his mind said, but... What were the chances? Probably low. He'd gone anyway, and looked down into the crater. And didn't know what to do with the woman he saw there. The headpiece, the clothes, the energy, it screamed Scarlet Witch. The appearance? Yeah, no. Not a hint of the heritage he'd know her by, so clearly it wasn't her, right? Right.]

Welcome to Excelsior, miss. If you're familiar with Earth, then I gotta warn you, this isn't the one you'd know. You're in the middle of a Confluence event, means people from other worlds are brought here, and somehow gain powers sometimes. And locals get struck with powers too.
