I. It's raining (Super) Men

OTA

One minute, Number Five was in a circle with his siblings, preparing to go back to their proper timeline after narrowly averting a (second) Apocalypse (caused by them) and the next, he opens his eyes to find himself hurtling through the sky. "Aw, fuck," he mutters, but as he barrels toward the rooftop of a building, he spacial-jumps in a tuck-and-roll and lands a lot less damningly a few feet away from where the intended impact would have been. For a moment, he lays with his back pressed flat against the rooftop to catch his breath.

But it's only for a moment. Then he's pushing to his feet and taking in his surroundings. "Vanya?" He calls out. "Klaus?" He huffs a sigh. "Anybody?" he asks with a growl.

He blinks over to the rooftop exit door and finds it locked. "Goddammit," he goes over to the edge of the building. It's a pretty long drop, but he's already calculating the odds of what a miscalculation in getting from here to the ground might cost him––

And he decides the risk is worth it and steps into one portal and out of another on the ground somewhere in the middle of downtown...whereverthefuck he is. On that note, he gets the attention of the first person he comes across, "Hey– where am I? And what year is it?"

ii. crypto or cryptid

OTA

The streets of the city are effectively in absolute chaos. There's damage of all kinds in every direction of every flavor and size, but perhaps more important than the property damage, it's all the people that seem to have suddenly developed powers.

Normally, Five might have ignored this. He was hardly the best choice for mentor even if he could probably commit all of his father's trainings to a lesson plan by memory, but it's a little hard even for him to ignore it when someone's having a meltdown over something they just did accidentally with powers they don't understand.

"Dammit," he heaves a sigh and blinks closer to where the person is, walking over toward them. Five doesn't have a great bedside manner, but he manages a simple, "What's goin' on?" that's only a little clipped in tone.

iii. power restored

OTA

Five finds teleportation he isn't personally in control of far more unsettling and annoying. Suddenly finding himself in a too-white, clinical lobby of some kind is unnerving, but the explanation at least comes soon enough. He makes mental notes of the important parts of it: Third set, confluence, other universes, Guardian Alliance, and most importantly home.

But none of that matters right now. So he seeks out a cup of coffee and keeps an eye out for one of his siblings to be in the mass of people in this room. He isn't sure if it's better for them to be here or not, but his family have been his most prominent, single-minded focus for decades now, and he isn't letting go of that any time soon.

He doesn't look particularly approachable, but don't let that stop you or anything.
