tinglesense: (you don't say)

"I'm already outside, I—"

But of course Stephen isn't exactly the chattiest person he knows to begin with, and this is an emergency. Of course he just hangs up. Typical.

The good(?) news is that for someone who can just teleport wherever they want, on my way is shorthand for I will appear there in literally one second. Peter reminds himself not to do anything embarrassing ever within, like, anywhere Stephen Strange might appear out of thin air (already a totally impossible goal).

For the time being, he's torn, though.

There are people in that house about to do something that is probably a lot worse than he'd even thought, otherwise Dr. Strange wouldn't have told him to get out and come to play "clean up after the dumb kids." He has a feeling that Stephen's mood isn't going to be great when he gets here in the next —

Yeah, like, one second. Oh boy.

Peter is still on the lawn, though not immediately near the house. Where was he really supposed to go in that amount of time, though? He doesn't have teleportation magic, after all.

He doesn't leave now, either, instead running to meet Stephen there at the portal. He doesn't bother with a bunch of apologies or anything. He can try that later when they're hopefully not all dead or trapped in the Upside Down or something. Peter talks a lot but he's not useless in a crisis, not by a long shot, so he just focuses on the part that involves other people being in danger. As far as he knows, he isn't since he got out of the house.

Haha, funny joke.

"Do you know what's going on? Like, um, how bad is this, exactly?"
