[Open / +1 Closed] Terrible Michigan Adventures
Who: Danny Chase
formerspybrat Leonardo Hamato
faceguy and You
What: Exploring Central City
When: After the age swape. Except for the Tour, which I think would have been before that.
Where: Central City Michigan
Content Warnings: None
Unreliable Tour [Closed to Leo]
[Leaning against the entrance to the main lobby, Danny tried to squash down any signs of nervous energy while he waited. It was one thing making plans, it was something else to deal with the fact that he'd been given enough time to overthink those plans.
He'd always been notoriously bad at interacting with kids his own age. It always felt like being pushed out on a stage and being told to play a part he'd barely gotten to skim the lines of. Even if they had things in common, eventually he would always say something, or do something that was just too off. So for the most part he'd just stopped trying.
But he was even more alone here in this new version of the world, then he was back home before the Titans took him back in. And yeah, he could take care of himself just fine, but did he really want to go back to that again? Not particularly. And Leo didn't immediately find him obnoxious, so there's a shot there.
Sooo, best foot forward and all that...If only he could figure out which one was his best one, or even his good one. Maybe his 'eh, good enough' foot would do for now.]
Research Time
[Reasearching history was always interesting and incredibly frustrating in equal measure. Especially when his current information pool was limited to a local library, and a form of the internet he was still figuring his way around.
Danny has practically taken up partial residence at the Central City Library and can be found printing up articles on Central City, the Confluence, and the Guilds. Or sitting at a desk surrounded by a configuration of several open books and a spread of his printed articles; comparing sources, jotting notes in a journal, and highlighting parts of his printouts.]
Comicbooks are a Nerds Bestfriends
[Another good chunk of the kid's time has gone into checking out the comic shops around the city. It's interesting seeing what a big difference there was between the media from his world and this one. Booster Gold comics didn't exist here, but that was pretty expected in a world where the real Booster didn't exist. The After-Life Avenger did exist, it was just too bad he'd never been into that one.
What was even more interesting was all the new stuff, some of which almost felt like copies of things he knew from his world, but just a little off. And there were the ones that were clear propaganda for the Guilds, which he made sure to grab. ]
