The rational part of his mind is already trying to work out the dimensions of how big this room can actually be, but he doesn't need to ponder long to figure that by all appearances, it looks impossibly huge.
An illusion, surely, optical, most likely. The strangely specifically detailed debris field? Another programmer's strange flavor of design element, applied this time to a holographic projection.
