I can do more good when I work with their assumptions than against. Villains expect to be betrayed, we're all playing chess against one another in every conversation. When I am paired with heroes, though... it's a matter of constantly trying to prove I'm good enough to be there in the first place. It's a waste of effort, TBH.
Plus, someone should keep an eye on things, yes? So I'll take the role no one else wants.
