That guild likes sticking kids into the foster system, the bastard that's now in charge of them wants us all to move to some idiotic gated community while calling us soldiers, the fact that they've got all this advanced science and technology but still can't wrap their heads around interdimensional travel when it shouldn't be that fucking hard - take your pick. There are lots of reasons those scientists and the guild they're aligned with are untrustworthy as fuck.
