Donnie's more or less kept to himself whenever he was occupying the more open space of the apartment, so it's no surprise he's overlooked Jason's comings and goings. At least he's not unaccustomed to interruptions while he works. It's rather hard to be when you've lived with three siblings your entire life.

His brows go way up once he turns to glance back at Jason. He might not be readily recognizable outside of the holo-disguise he'd worn back then, but he remembers Jason well enough. Bookstore guy. Although it's possible Jason might recognize the voice.
