By the first few checks Leo makes on Donnie's progress, the kid's picked out several books that he's set in a neat pile on the floor. At least he makes sure to put any book he decides he doesn't want, back in its proper place. It seems he's narrowing down his selection to whatever remains in the pile.

This is all well and good except that the plant section takes up more than a few shelves, and inevitably Donnie goes through all of the ones at his level. He's got his eye on a title a couple shelves higher. These ones aren't spread as high, so maybe...?

He glances at Leo but his brother's reading. Well, he can do this! There's enough space for him to use as foot and handholds, so up Donnie goes, pulling himself up onto the edge of the next shelf.
