Excelsior

Ororo isn't even remotely wrong to say that most of the younger mutants from home were prone to Excelsior. In fact, she was definitely more correct about that than she perhaps realized. Which unfortunately doesn't come up until said extra young mutant was in a position to look a lot like a trouble maker than someone from home. Because here David Alleyne was, at a power station, dressed in a yellow and black leather coat (because how could he resist), his entire face obscured by a black and yellow biker helmet. And his whole form was lit by the golden glow of a... hovering lantern? Made of only light? That was almost like one of Kid Omega's projections.

Really, he couldn't look more suspicious if he tried. Perhaps the only redeeming factor in the moment was the insignia he had claimed for himself alone. Printed not only on the helmet but made into a belt buckle was the symbol of the Krakoan manifestation of X-Factor.

Probably dumb luck, right?

As for the David, well, his had gotten his hands onto a monitoring substitution. Literally. His black gloves were missing from his hands and they were pressed flat on the console, his head bowed and his focus clearly on the console. Without much luck unfortunately.
