[Open to the past] Don't bet your future on one roll of the dice
Who: Dick Grayson
forceforlight
What: A bit of a catch-all
When: Late March, 1985
Where: Mostly Central, a little bit in Excelsior
Content Warnings: TBD
Excelsior - The clothes make the man
The cut of a good suit hadn't changed much in the past several decades. Fashions in general had, but Alfred used to say that a decent suit was timeless.
Dick never expected to have to put that to the test. But he'd brought it to the past with him, because he needs to do a few things. Which is why he's sitting at an outdoor café with a notebook and pencil, looking over a few addresses that he'd written down earlier. Looking every inch the businessman. Something that he hoped would work in his favor.
Central - Taking care of business
Of course, just because they'd managed to bring money back from the future with them didn't mean it would be enough. Nobody knew how long they'd be here. But it was also the 80s and Dick had heard plenty of stories of places taking on indigent workers for cash under the table. Nothing that would leave tracks. And nothing that would require all his time, since they still had a job to do.
So he has a list of restaurants and bars in the area around the hotel, working his way down it. Still, he's aware enough of his surroundings not to run into anybody walking the other direction, even if he's seemingly not paying attention to them as they pass.
Of course, if somebody stops him on purpose? Well, he's hardly opposed to that, either.
C - You win some, lose some, it's all the same to me
Wild card! If you have an idea, give me a shout and we'll see what we can do!
