What: Once again, a Jason Todd copes with his trauma in violent ways

[For years, December was a shit time for Jason and this year isn't different in that regard. The beginnings of winter bring him reminders of some of the worst moments in his life. He doesn't want to think about them but they happen anyway. It's how trauma works sometimes and it pisses him off.
What's also been pissing him off lately is how his doppelgänger wrecked his work as a crime lord. Ever since that fight, Jason’s been working hard to get back what he and his gang lost. But it’s been very slow going as he and his gang have been fending off rivals who had been waiting for the Backbreakers to slip up. Some of his lackeys have left too after that setback.
Then there’s the matter of the Joker. Jason’s deathday anniversary is the main reason why December is a shit time for Jason. His nightmares are worse. His mind wanders more often into his regrets and what could’ve happened if things had gone different. Jason hates all of that. And after what the Joker posted last year, Jason’s been steeling himself for another “present” from the psychopath. Jason’s been trying to find the monster to finally put an end to him.
But there are only so many hours in the day. Jason doesn’t want to admit it but he’s been burning the candle at both ends. With so much on his mind and so much he’s been trying to do, he’s been more sleep deprived and more stressed than usual.
There’s one thing he knows he can accomplish in a short amount of time though.
The advantage and disadvantage of having a doppelgänger is that one knows exactly how the other thinks. So it doesn’t take very long before Jason figures out the areas his older self lurks at and when. His older self has apparently been taking a path more heroic than his. After the wrecking the Backbreakers, goons from other gangs got hit by that Jason too. What a fucking joke.
It’s late in the evening and Jason’s perched on a dark rooftop. He’s fully dressed in his Red Hood gear and well armed. As he patiently waits for his double to appear nearby, he feels ready]
