I. Rest for the Wicked
It certainly isn't the sort of mission he's expecting, and he's a bit disappointed at his tasks, mundane jobs ranging from helping out the staff to doing repairs (okay, he doesn't mind those so much). Maybe you might run into him while he's off on an errand of some kind. And where exactly, might Donnie- or rather Othello von Ryan, be operating? Why, none other than a Society-endorsed group home for 'Reforming Super-Villains'.

Since technically he's enrolled as Othello through school, Donnie keeps to the part, even though he has a feeling certain people are well aware that he's not a human who might look like a male version of April O'Neil from another universe with a penchant for purple. But these people don't need to know that.

Having to sit and listen to old villains talk about 'the good old days' is a toss-up depending on who he's stuck listening to, but either way, once he's got a break or finished up for the day, all he wants is to relax with a cup of coffee. Thankfully there's a pretty good coffee shop down the street, and it's where Donnie slips off and drops his holo-disguise, slumping way down into a seat once he's got his drink and a snack.

II. Hood-n-Seek (Open to Red Hood(s) and potentially a blue turtle)
It's probably inevitable that Donnie decides to go seeking out Red Hood on his own after his conversation with Leo. No need to complicate things, right?

He slips out at night, not an unusual habit, even here in this world. Going about at night is just natural, even if Donnie doesn't do it a whole lot, especially now that he's got school to juggle, but this evening isn't for raiding junkyards or rooftop patrols. Since he did tell Leo he'd try to keep out of sight, he's using it as a good excuse to keep his ninja skills sharp, sticking to the shadows, blending in where he can. He even forgoes using his favored mode of transportation while he slinks around Backbreakers territory. …what was it with people and names like that anyway?

[Meanwhile, an interloper makes his way to Donnie and Red Hood’s location.

He’s sticking to the shadows, trying to stay hidden. He wouldn’t want to alert either of them of his presence too early - though sneaking up on a ninja and a bat is hardly easy…]

[Jason's still mostly focused on Donnie for now but his senses are also still keen on anything that might interrupt or eavesdrop their conversation]

You've come across a case and trying to investigate. Limited as they might be, you're trying to tap into whatever resources you got to learn more. It's not a bad move to take a poke at other scumbags and see what they know but there can't be sumthin' for nuthin'.

[It's a balance Jason's trying to maintain. He does want to know more about the D'Amicos but he can't show his cards to just anyone. Though if Donnie doesn't give up anything, Jason could always tap into Society resources to learn more]

[...programming an alert for whenever his brother is in the vicinity is in the near future. For the moment however, Donnie isn't thinking to actively check his tracker.

He looks at Red Hood before nodding again, sighing.]

I know. But I figured it wasn't the best idea to draw the wrong sort of attention.

[He'd already had that happen with the Bronze Owls, after all.]

I've already combed through every bit of information I could dig up through less direct means, which is why I was hoping to figure out who I'd possibly be dealing with if I tried going deeper.

[Sneaky sneaky sneaky closer…

He’s within hearing distance now, crouching behind some dumpsters.]

Is there more you’re worried about this other than just general concerns for criminals walking around freely?

[Jason doesn’t sense Leo just yet…]

Unfortunately all I've got is speculation. [He sighs, again.] I don't know that I'm actually... worried, but given the involved parties and the track record, I think it's better to be safe than sorry.

[Donnie lifts his head then, glancing out in Leo's general direction with a frown. Had he seen movement over there? He squints before shifting his attention back to Red Hood.]

I'll answer your earlier questions, but I don't want to be cut out of any further investigation, and if you're going to use my information, then you owe me that much.

[Pay no attention to any movement behind the dumpster!

Leo wouldn't admit it, but he's secretly annoyed that this is going better for Donnie than it had for him. But more than that, he's worried about this deal being proposed. Donnie investigating the D'Amicos with Red Hood? What's he getting into...?]

[Hmmm... That slight glance Donnie does puts Jason on alert. Is the other turtle around?]

I got my own assets to protect too.

[The sounds of the Backbreakers' newest chop shop can still be heard in the distance]

Much as I would love to piss off the D'Amicos again, how do I know this little partnership won't backfire on me because of you or the other turtle?

[Jason raises his voice slightly when he says "or the other turtle." He's testing the waters just in case. It might be nothing but his paranoia acting up]

[Donnie holds back another sigh. He knows it's perfectly reasonable for the guy to be wary about any sort of deals, even if it is frustrating.

He's quiet for a moment as 'the other turtle' is brought up, and he can't help but think about what Leo said with Huvrye's involvement and what had happened then. He'd hate to see his brother get hurt if anything went south.]

....

Fine then. Forget I said anything.

[Red Hood mentioning “the other turtle” in that tone makes him tense. Does he know Leo is here?

He briefly considers portaling elsewhere, but Donnie’s reply catches him up short. He’s… giving up?

Maybe he’s being more careful than Leo thought. It makes him feel better, even if he’s still irked that Donnie ran off to Backbreaker territory alone.

He shuffles a liiiittle closer and- oops, he nudged a can with his foot, scraping it across the concrete. It doesn’t make a lot of noise - hopefully they think it’s just a rat?]

[Too late. Before Jason could respond to Donnie, he turns his gaze towards where the noise is]

You alone?

Yeah.

[Donnie's looking then too, his expression shifting into annoyance as he pulls up his holoscreen.]

...I was supposed to be, anyway.

[Whoops. He's been had. If Donnie looks at his trackers, it'll be obvious where Leo is.

Guess there's nothing for it. Leo gets up, dusts off his knees, then comes around the dumpster and leans against it. The picture of casual, this guy.]

Oh hey! Imagine running into both of you here.

[What a weird and wild coincidence!]

[Jason snorts and rolls his eyes]

Yup. Just having a friendly chat here in such a nice neighborhood.

[Donnie looks hardly impressed once Leo shows himself.]

What are you doing here?

[Ah… is he mad? He may be mad.]

Can’t a guy take a walk without getting the third degree?

[In a deadpan tone]

Congratulations. You didn’t get spotted as fast as you did last time.

[Donnie looks about ready to throttle Leo if he weren't folding his arms so tightly.]

Sorry, I guess I should have anticipated that my brother would do something like this because he clearly doesn't trust me either.

[He sighs exasperatedly.]

Fine. It's cool. We were about done here anyway.

[Hey, rude! He did just fine last time!

And Leo is absolutely ready to argue in favor of his stealth skills, but then Donnie says that, and, well.

Leo shrinks back a little like a chastised puppy, wrapping his own arms around his stomach. Right.]

...Yeah, well, you guys wrap it up. I'll wait over there.

[So saying he'll just... shuffle back toward the street.]

[Jason’s all too well-experienced when it comes to tension between family members. It’s familiar witnessing the dialogue between Donnie and Leo. Maybe Jason isn’t the bigger concern for the turtles after all.

His body language and tone don’t change though as whatever’s going on between the brothers doesn’t matter much to him for now]

If you’re gonna keep snooping into the D’Amicos then you better take plenty of precautions, especially since this is related to a higher-up. Their paybacks hit hard and fast.

[Donnie watches Leo go before looking back at Red Hood, holding back another huff. He knows it's advice he should take to heart, so he nods.]

Got it.

[He still needs to consider how he's going to approach things now, but that can wait. If it doesn't look like there's anything more to be said, Donnie turns to start after Leo.]

[And he'll just be waiting over here, definitely looking like a cool guy and not someone waiting for their own execution.]

[Jason gives several locations. All of them are away from Backbreakers territory. One of those addresses leads to a D'Amico warehouse he, the other Jason Todd, Sleeper, and Bucky attacked earlier in the year. Not that Jason will admit to that for now]

Those are spots where I've seen the D'Amicos hang around. They might've moved away from them and hiding themselves better now but maybe you'll find a clue or two. Have a little stake out if you're lucky.

[Jason's guessing that neither turtle are going to give up easily on this endeavor. He truly doesn't think they're bad. Maybe only annoying sometimes but they've managed to be Accelerator's friends. That's worth something. So he'll throw them a bone.

Plus, Jason has access to the Society. Maybe he can start to cash in some of the good favor he's built up with them and get better intel on the D'Amicos]

[The information is a bit of a surprise, but Donnie takes in the information, and even though he doesn't move to physically bring it up, there's a slight flicker over his left wrist that suggests the holocomputer's come active somehow.]

Thanks...

[He gives Red Hood a nod, looking grateful for that small bit to start with at least, before he turns and is off.

Now it's just this unpleasant situation to deal with, so of course once he reaches where Leo is, Donnie moves on right past him.]

[Well, that’s a bad start…

Leo quicksteps to catch up to Donnie, falling in beside him.]

Uh, so… sounds like it went… well?

[He didn’t hear all of it, but Donnie got addresses out of it.]
