Jason huffs out a laugh as he walks to the kitchen.
“Not until your birthday and it’ll be something from Descendant,” he replies. Is he joking? It’s hard to tell.
He pulls out a tea kettle, fills it with water from the sink and then sets it on the stove to boil.
“Herbal shit for now. We’re up late enough as it is.”
