It never failed to surprise her how they could be so terribly lucky and yet unlucky at times. Life had been hectic, per usual, so their dinner date had been put off and rescheduled multiple times. So many times that by the time they finally got a reservation at this wonderful Italian spot, that everyone was raving about, it was Valentine's Day.

Awkward.

But this was Dick Grayson and Barbara Gordon. If anyone could handle the mess their multiverse selves were dealing with, it would be them.

Wearing a red dress that didn't clash with her hair, Barbara stood outside the restaurant waiting for Dick to show up. She was a few minutes early, but that might have been nerves.

Things literally hadn't been going their way. Every time there was something planned, they had to unplan it. To the point where, by this point, they'd both lost a bit of money to reservation cancellations.

Still, Dick had a good feeling about tonight. He'd helped Tim get squared away, made sure Haley was fed, checked his hair again before heading to the Italian place via public transport, because they needed to work on the parking situation in the new building.

So it's only a minute or so after Babs gets there that Dick appears, wearing a dark blue suit and lightly checked shirt with no tie. Nothing too formal. He DOES absolutely pause a moment as he sees her, glancing up and down quickly before smiling widely, raising his hand to greet her, jogging over to kiss her cheek lightly. "You look incredible, Babs."

He has absolutely brought a tie in case he needs it.
