Who: Bart Allen
kid_flash_found, David Alleyne
helpdesk_hero, Tim Drake
mostdangerousbird and eventually Conner Kent
lowercase_el
What: Introducing old and new friends
When: A couple of days after the April Confluence
Where: Central City rooftops
Content Warnings: Paranoia, posturing, persuasion? Will add as needed.
Bart took his time finding the perfect spot to try to introduce Prodigy and Robin. Enough visibility and avenues of escape, but not too easily spotted. Out of the way. No security. Finally he'd located an abandoned tenement that would have probably been slated for destruction for being a fair bit shorter than the other buildings around it, but perfectly situated in a near-canyon of rooftops, but with at least three nearby fire escapes on neighbors, and plenty of other ways to get out.
So he texted both the intel. Given the subterfuge involved, he offered David a lift to the city, rather than using his daily teleport, and tasked a couple scouts to keep an eye on things. He really didn't think the energy contructs would actually spot Robin when he showed, but it was worth the attempt, and at least it was a marker that one was in the right place. His biggest worry about the whole thing was just trying to get through this without someone going down the rabbit hole beyond where paranoia was justified.
Beyond that, it was just a matter of waiting. And trying to not let his curiosity turn into anxiety. He hadn't actually seen the latest incarnation of David's Prodigy get-up, but since he mentioned a full disguise, including voice, that was going to be an interesting can of worms to see. And Robin was, well Robin. His best friend, but someone who also saw nothing wrong in bugging people so he could keep track of them, or running covert tests. It was just a little meet and greet. Surely it won't go pear-shaped until the second meeting, right?
