Peter isn't really offended by Balthier leaving him to go off with David. That's what dating people do, probably. (His relationship with MJ was hardly normal, and Ned was often butting into the middle of it, on accident or on purpose. It was annoying sometimes, but now he'd give anything to have it back to that sometimes awkward arrangement.)
