II. Star Gazing It's been a long night, and truly magical. Wonderful. Perfect. Which was, in the end, what had driven David off to seek some privacy, which took the form of him finding a balcony. He leaned against the railing, trying to keep the dark thoughts away. And yet...
"You ever feel like a night was too perfect?"
He spoke up when he heard footsteps behind him. Perhaps it was a bit dark of a thing to say, but it's the mood David found himself in. Strange that here, in a place where he should be thinking about his boyfriend and the happiness Balthier gives him, he's instead worried.
Back home mutants had learned, far too many times, that being too happy meant something was going to go wrong soon.
