I. Dancing
There's something to be said for the pleasure of dancing with people, whether he knows them or not, and feeling confident about the whole process. While David had come here as the candy on Balthier's arm, that hadn't meant he was limiting himself only to his boyfriend's companionship. Anyone who offered was quite welcome to take him for a spin, provided they didn't mind dancing with a man that, in heels, was easily pushing six three. And turned out there were more than a few that were down for such things, given there was going to be eyes drawn when you danced with a man in a scarlet dress with a very lovely gold necklace and tasteful gold and crimson focused make-up. All of which drew a touch of attention away from the citrine ring accented with stars and moons.

Had David worked hard to look good tonight? Damn right. Tonight was going to be his first time out beyond that one quiet date with Balthier where he wore a dress, and David was working hard to be confident with it. Let no one dare tell him he wasn't rocking it.

And, as one partner faded away with the end of a song, David stood to the side and took a few deep breaths.

"Well, this is the most fun I can imagine."

II. Star Gazing
It's been a long night, and truly magical. Wonderful. Perfect. Which was, in the end, what had driven David off to seek some privacy, which took the form of him finding a balcony. He leaned against the railing, trying to keep the dark thoughts away. And yet...

"You ever feel like a night was too perfect?"

He spoke up when he heard footsteps behind him. Perhaps it was a bit dark of a thing to say, but it's the mood David found himself in. Strange that here, in a place where he should be thinking about his boyfriend and the happiness Balthier gives him, he's instead worried.

Back home mutants had learned, far too many times, that being too happy meant something was going to go wrong soon.

III. Wildcard

[OOC: I'm down for anything, especially open for his standing CR who want to intercept him in the night but don't want to dance or wax philosophical. I will match tagging styles]
