[Jason usually doesn't deal with giant monster attacks. That's more for the heavy hitters like Superman or one of the Green Lanterns. Probably would be a Justice League mission. But this was dire and the fact that they're asking for metas regardless of guild affiliation grabs Jason's attention.

While paying close attention during the strategy meeting, Jason privately thinks that it's insane of them to pilot mechas into battle without extensive training. Not to mention the use of highly invasive technology. No one need to look at his mind, much less a stranger. Then again, desperate times called for desperate measures.

He still has doubts and fears about how well this'll go but the seers are clear about what happens if people don't go to fight. So Jason pushes on. The faster he and his co-pilot get through this and are still alive, the quicker Jason can leave again.
