Sephiroth doesn't care about the hero/villain dichotomy; they're just words, and he's been called both. He is here specifically to fight and kill things, and to delight in doing so without anyone moralizing at him. Some of them are significantly larger than the monsters he's accustomed to, and he relishes the challenge, leveraging his agility and the long reach of his sword to fell them.
There's a lull in the fight, and he flicks dragon blood from his blade, glancing over at the man fighting not far from him. He wonders if he's actually 'Captain' of anything.
"I wouldn't mind an update on their 'giant robot' plan, if anyone responds." He's not going to bother, himself. Who would he contact? He's a stranger here.
But for now, there are more 'smaller' monsters just visible up the street, so he'll start in that direction.
