Who: Terry McGinnis
knight_shift
What: Early June catch-all
When: Before the plot
Where: Central City
Content Warnings: Potential violence
Day:
Terry, when the month began, had bought an old black sedan on the cheap. It was only just barely functional, but he was fine with that. It wouldn't be too hard to get it running properly even if it wouldn't be quite up to snuff for the plan he had for it just yet. Good enough to function as a car for Uber was the more immediate goal.
Most of his time during the is spent on fixing it up or trying to find replacement parts on the cheap. The credit card is helping, but he's trying not to push it to its soft limit.
When he's not doing that, he's out checking around the city or more specifically on dates with Dana. Which, even with his little project, he actually has more time for now. More heroes mean Batman, while necessary, doesn't have to be on call all the time.
He has to tell her he's Batman, but it's a little difficult. Telling the other Bats he's going to do it is one thing. Telling her when he's been lying to her for two years is another. He doesn't want to do it at the hotel, though. He's still not 100% sure it hasn't been bugged. Ice cream at the park seems like his best bet.
Night:
He might not have to be on call 24/7 as Batman now, but he's still operating as Batman. He's not doing anything too big, though. Just basic patrols and figuring out where the major trouble spots are. It's a new city so it's going to take a bit more time before he works out who all the major players are and how to take the fight to them.
He's got ideas on how, but they're not quite ready yet.

Night
Except that Central was a lot less cheerful, not to mention in the wrong state.
Still, he put on the suit and went out for a bit of a workout. Stopped to help direct traffic at an accident until the cops showed, foiled a guy trying to make a cash withdrawal at the local bodega at gunpoint, the usual minor stuff Kid Flash was known for, and then he was zipping away again. He was just dropping on one of his favorite rooftops for a pit stop when he got the sense he wasn't alone.
"Hey, is this spot taken?"
Re: Night
"You're fine. It's a big roof. Kid Flash, right? What brings you out this way?"
Hopefully nothing he needed to worry about.

Sure, he could just run across the fields or around the world a few times, but it gets old after a while.
Day
"Should I treat you?" she asks teasingly, pulling out her unlimited cred card, though it causes a pang of worry. It won't last forever, and before too long, she'll be kicked out of her current housing and expected to either register as a hero or make a living on her own. Truthfully, she can't see herself succeeding at either; she'd been expecting to learn self-sufficient skills in college, and as for hero skills... Those were for other, greater people.
She tries to hide the worry she's feeling. She has to talk about this at some point, but she doesn't want to ruin a date with heavy talk, at least not before they have their treat.
Re: Day
They get their ic cream, and walk in silence for a bit. Terry has his own set of worries. He'd never wanted Dana involved in this, but that ship had sailed after the Joker had attacked.
She was involved whter he liked it or not.
"Full disclosure, I didn't just bring you here for ice cream. I've got a confession to make."
He could put it off. Explain things from the beginning. But there was time for that later. It was better to just rip the bandaid off now.
"I'm Batman. Our Batman."

She didn't expect the next words. Her jaw just drops and a ringing starts in her ears. She couldn't have heard that right, could she? It was part of the ringing.

"Do you need to sit down for a minute? There's a bench over that way. I get that it's a lot to take in."

"You- you're the other Batman?"

Terry helps Dan's sit before taking a seat himself.
"The personal assistant job is real, but it's a little more dangerous than what we told everyone."
