Moving Out - Diadem Hotel

It didn't take long for Six to pack his things. He hadn't spent much money that the guilds had given him to begin with. Even though he'd signed up for the Guardian Alliance, he wasn't going to spend more than he had to. The less he owed others the better. If anyone else from home showed up, assuming they were from Providence, they'd likely go to the Alliance or at least look into it. It'd make it easier for them to find him in addition for Six having someone to regularly monitor his nanites.

He checked around the room and started heading down into the lobby, adjusting the shoulder bag with his things as he looked for the checkout desk.

Moving In - Six's Farmhouse, Little Love, Kansas

Six had been a variety of places as a mercenary and then as an agent of Providence, but Little Love was...well, it was something else. Quiet. Peaceful. An excellent place to raise your kids if you didn't mind the random events. Admittedly, Little Love wouldn't be his first pick of places but given how sparsely-covered it was, he volunteered for assignment there.

He was going to need a permanent car. Likely a truck. He'd keep an eye out for a used one.

People might notice the taxi going out to one of the empty farmhouses. And a man in a green suit probably stuck out in this quiet little rural town.

Exploring - Little Love, Kansas

Well, moving in hadn't taken long. Time to get the lay of the land.

And groceries. That was important, too.

Rather than trying to call another cab, he started walking. It was a nice day out. Besides, the walk would be a good bit of light training.

Others would find him either walking alongside the road or through the main part of the town, taking in the sights of the small town.

Moving in

With a little thrifting, Dylan had managed to get his hands on a sturdy bike that could get him over the long stretches of road that criss-crossed the fields on the way into town.

A lot of it was barren farmland, all situated around empty guild housing. Dylan was used to the sight of it by now. But —

Oh, hold on, one of the empty houses had some activity. Dylan brakes and watches from the street for a minute, seeing a familiar green suit. He lights up and starts pedaling up the driveway to the entrance.

"Hey! Six!" Dylan waves as he approaches. "Are you moving in??"

sorry this took so long ;A;

"Not far from here!" Dylan gestured with an arm, rattling off a set of directions that relied mostly on physical landmarks.

As he spoke, he glanced at the land surrounding Six's new home, surveying it. After he finished his directions, he continued right on talking. "I'm still pretty new to this farming thing, so I'm not sure what would work best on your land. Diana's pretty good at it, though! I've been helping her out. She's the one who owns the house where I live. Or at least is on the... Alliance lease? Not sure how that works.

Exploring - Little Love

Jayce is a recent arrival and still has a month and a half of stay in the Diadem Hotel, but he is a man who likes to plan things in advance and be ready as soon as possible.  As much as Excelsior and their love for new discoveries call to the scientist in him, their anti-magic policies and the disdain for metas do not. Central City is a bit too much in all senses of the word -- too many people, too much crime, and too many innocents to accidentally injure if any of his projects explodes...He has yet to check Sunset Falls, but the existence of demons and cults there doesn't fill him with reassurance.

This leaves him visiting Littel Love to see if he could get an apartment here and someplace to open a business. He's looking at the small screen on the device they gave him on arrival, but since he's never used a smartphone before, some apps still give him trouble. Jayce can't, for the life of him, figure out the map one.

"Ehm, excuse me, sir." He turns to the nearest person in the street, who happens to be Six. The suit attire makes him stand out, but so does Jayce's white and gold long coat,. One would be forgiven for confusing him for the major or something. He needs to get himself some new clothes still.  "I'm a little lost. Do you know how to get to the houses assigned to metas?"

Jayce shows  shows him the phone and points at the screen. The phone is also upside down, which might be the cause of the problem.
defenderoftomorrow: (Oh shit it's worst than I thought)

"Oh... being upside down explains a few things." Jayce has the decency to look sheepish. He can more or less figure out what rotation lock is by the name alone, but finding the right button to unlock it is more tricky.

"Yes, that's what I meant. I'm not part of any Guild yet, I am also new to this planet, so I was only looking around the different cities to get a feel of them. My name's Jayce Talis, a pleasure to meet you."
defenderoftomorrow: (Dorito shapped)

Jayce gave a small nod of acknowledgment at the name and didn't question it. New world, new rules. Perhaps being named after numbers was a normal here around here, alongside talking cats like the one he met a few days ago.

"Hm, convenient. Almost too much. If I am honest with you, it feels almost like a bribe." the fact that those who don't join the guilds aren't even granted official papers are simply left to fend for themselves doesn't sit well with Jayce.

"Having extra space sounds good. In my case, it would be less for training and more because I'm an inventor. Are you planning on becoming a new hero, perhaps?"
