[ Much like Loki's last party-venture, this is set up very much in the same vein. a large ballroom for dancing needs. Tables and waiters passing around hors d'oeuvres and drinks. At the entrance of the ball room, there’s a fancy mask waiting for you if you don’t have one already. There’s a strict dress code for the event this time and Loki expects everyone to dress accordingly.

The masks also have a spell attached to them. They’ll afford you complete privacy. No one will recognize you under the mask. Unless, of course, you take it off and let them know. Perfect for the party guest who may want to indulge without causing a fuss. Hit up a partner and see where the evening takes you.

This event wouldn’t be complete without candy, of course. There are candies arranged on the tables in all types and colors. In front of them is a small description regarding each kind of candy. Be sure to read them carefully, as Loki has added a little . . . extra to the sweets, to give them a little . . . zing. ]

[ his ears go pink at sephiroth's remark as he leads them through the dance. it wasn't anything special and loki isn't quite sure why he suggested it. he just likes having sephiroth's time and attention. he likes being close. ]

[Why shouldn't it be special? There are a few firsts, for Sephiroth. First dance. First costume. First masquerade he attended willingly.

And it's time with Loki. He may fumble a few steps, but he is versed in reading people's movements. Just, typically in the context of battle. This requires something of a different response.]

[ there's nothing loki loves more than introducing those firsts. watching sephiroth dip his toes into them, to enjoy them. to see that potential bloom. it's what he's always believed. ]

[ loki smirks before clicking his fingers. the alcove is filled with illusions of dancing people. ]

Why not hide and seek? I'll vanish into the crowd and you have to find me. By switching dancing partners and moving around.

[unkindled_madness]

[Sephiroth blinks, looking out over the illusory crowd. It's elaborate.]

Hmm. Will they dance like you?

[dothelokimotion]

No. They'll be a little different, but you'll manage.

[unkindled_madness]

It will be good practice. I'm up for it.

[dothelokimotion]

Splendid.

[ he presses a light kiss to sephiroth's cheek before stepping back and vanishing. ]

[unkindled_madness]

[Well... Sephiroth is going to have to learn several things here. He wasn't the one leading, and he's never switched partners before. Or danced amid a crowd.

But they're only illusions, not real people. Like a training sim, but the only one watching is Loki. He doesn't mind that.]

[ they move in circles, perfectly coordinated. one of them, a masked lady, curtsies to sephiroth and holds out her hand to get him started. loki is nowhere to be seen yet, but if sephiroth looks carefully, he'll see a flash of red towards the middle of the room. ]

[Sephiroth is not yet looking carefully. He is just trying to get his bearings, and he accepts the illusory woman's hand. He is... a poor lead, at first, not communicating his intent clearly at all. Illusory woman will probably get her toes stepped on.

But once he's starting to find a balance, he glances around for Loki.]

[ loki flits in and out of sight for a bit before sephiroth's eyes settle on him. he's dancing with a nondescript man, palms pressed together as they go in circles. ]
