[ Much like Loki's last party-venture, this is set up very much in the same vein. a large ballroom for dancing needs. Tables and waiters passing around hors d'oeuvres and drinks. At the entrance of the ball room, there’s a fancy mask waiting for you if you don’t have one already. There’s a strict dress code for the event this time and Loki expects everyone to dress accordingly.

The masks also have a spell attached to them. They’ll afford you complete privacy. No one will recognize you under the mask. Unless, of course, you take it off and let them know. Perfect for the party guest who may want to indulge without causing a fuss. Hit up a partner and see where the evening takes you.

This event wouldn’t be complete without candy, of course. There are candies arranged on the tables in all types and colors. In front of them is a small description regarding each kind of candy. Be sure to read them carefully, as Loki has added a little . . . extra to the sweets, to give them a little . . . zing. ]

Sephiroth is wallflowering it, largely sticking to the outskirts of the room. He's spending a fair amount of his time watching the dancers, studying their movements in a way that suggests he might be interested in trying it himself.

However, when this woman approaches near enough he thinks she may be about to ask, he preempts her: "Ah... No, thank you."

Honestly, his outfit was what had first drawn her attention--it's far more intricate than some of the others here, and seems to be based on a creature. She thinks about asking what, but is distracted for a little while before she catches sight of him again, this time against a different wall. But he's looking out at the dancers with what she perceives as interest, and she thinks that's a good excuse to approach him and strike up a conversation, perhaps while joining in.

He seems to have other plans. Diana is visibly surprised beneath the mask, brows rising and stride stopped short. She doesn't immediately realize what he's saying no-thank-you too, and her tone is confused. "What?" Not the most eloquent response, but he's caught her off guard.

Sephiroth blinks, somewhat confused in turn. Perhaps he misinterpreted. It's far easier to read intent in combat than in social situations.

"...I thought you meant to ask after a dance."

Her surprise turns into a sheepish smile, and she can't help but give a quiet laugh. "You aren't entirely wrong, but that would have just been an excuse. I really just wanted to talk to you."

"I see. To that, I have no objection." Though he does say that with a quizzical tilt of his head. Did she want to talk to him for some specific reason, or is she just being friendly?

As it turns out, a little bit of both! Her smile widens, and she gestures to his clothing. "I wanted to compliment your choice of outfit. I do not know much about these kinds of parties, but I think a certain element of costume is common. You look marvelous."

"Oh." Marvelous? He's familiar enough with people complimenting his appearance, but not so much his fashion.

"Loki assisted me, though it is inspired by a kind of wyvern native to my Planet."

Of course Loki had a hand in this, she should have guessed from the color scheme alone. Her smile grows a bit. "I've never seen a wyvern, but now I know at least a little of what to expect." She's joking, mostly. "I will have to follow your example if there is another party like this in the future."

Sephiroth likes green, too! ...but yes, the outfit has Loki all over it.

Her little joke earns her a wry smile. "I think it's only Halloween where one is expected to dress as a monster. Your attire seems perfectly suitable to this sort of party."
