[ Much like Loki's last party-venture, this is set up very much in the same vein. a large ballroom for dancing needs. Tables and waiters passing around hors d'oeuvres and drinks. At the entrance of the ball room, there’s a fancy mask waiting for you if you don’t have one already. There’s a strict dress code for the event this time and Loki expects everyone to dress accordingly.

The masks also have a spell attached to them. They’ll afford you complete privacy. No one will recognize you under the mask. Unless, of course, you take it off and let them know. Perfect for the party guest who may want to indulge without causing a fuss. Hit up a partner and see where the evening takes you.

This event wouldn’t be complete without candy, of course. There are candies arranged on the tables in all types and colors. In front of them is a small description regarding each kind of candy. Be sure to read them carefully, as Loki has added a little . . . extra to the sweets, to give them a little . . . zing. ]

Oh yeah, there's three of 'em so far. One's the host, the other is like... a mid-twenties Cool Dude, and the other's a kid.

[ At the mention of guilds, Doreen's tail flicks down and winds around her legs. What an incredibly realistic costume! ]

Ah, well... I'm not, personally, but not gonna lie, it's a lot harder to get on your feet without joining up. It's technically not exactly a hundred percent legal to not join a guild, and people are gonna look at you funny if you don't. It's possible to get by without 'em, but you won't have as many resources.

How curious. What a coincidence that so many people with such unusual names are in the same place. [ See, Jayce is still under the belief that they just happen to be named the same. not that they are literally the same guy from different universes or timelines.

He does notice the tail moving, how could he not, and tilts his head at it but doesn't comment on it. ]

So I've heard. [ Jayce doesn't seem to be judging either way. The reason he's asking is that he's pondering options himself. ] It doesn't seem fair that people are either forced to join or have a hard time in a strange world. [ Jayce is in for a wild explanation if nobody has covered the multiverse thing! Doreen blushes a bit, though it's hard to see behind the flowery mask, and glances away. ]

D'aw, thanks. I dunno if it's brave or foolhardy at this point, but I've been getting by. Resources go a long way though, especially when it comes to stable housing and income.

Not quite? Dr. Octavius mentions that there are people here that might come from different points in time. But I was assuming that was in relation to one single universe.

The blush is cute, however, even if he only sees a little of it under the mask it's enough to help him focus on the present, at least. ]

Maybe a bit of both, but that's not always bad. It's how scientists operate too, sometimes you need to trust your gut and jump into the fire. I can only imagine. I've heard there's a woman, an ex-hero? helping the unaligned, but I have yet to meet her.

Oh, Ms. Starling! Yeah, she's awesome, I can send you her contact info if you have any questions for her. If it helps, I don't think either of the guilds can really make you do anything you aren't comfortable with. If Otto's any indication, they might pester you to get on social media and do some publicity for 'em though.
