[ Much like Loki's last party-venture, this is set up very much in the same vein. a large ballroom for dancing needs. Tables and waiters passing around hors d'oeuvres and drinks. At the entrance of the ball room, there’s a fancy mask waiting for you if you don’t have one already. There’s a strict dress code for the event this time and Loki expects everyone to dress accordingly.

The masks also have a spell attached to them. They’ll afford you complete privacy. No one will recognize you under the mask. Unless, of course, you take it off and let them know. Perfect for the party guest who may want to indulge without causing a fuss. Hit up a partner and see where the evening takes you.

This event wouldn’t be complete without candy, of course. There are candies arranged on the tables in all types and colors. In front of them is a small description regarding each kind of candy. Be sure to read them carefully, as Loki has added a little . . . extra to the sweets, to give them a little . . . zing. ]

Yeah, I get the sense it's not all guild people tonight. Everyone loves a good party and sometimes dressing up.

Exactly. And the host clearly is providing some coverage for the asses of Metas like me.

Cheers to people giving a damn about people like us. Been tiring to hear the non-metas blaming us for everything.

It really is. Like, I don't even want my powers, right? I just want to live my life. Maybe get a roomie so I can gave some on bills. But I'm not the sort of meta that wants to make a name for myself one way or another.

Not a fan of the guilds either then?

I don't care about the guilds one way or the other. I hate that they try and strong arm us though. The feeling like we need to be compelled to serve them is like... taking away free choice.

Yeah. What's wrong with not wanting to be with either of them? Like you said just now, we just want to live our lives. We're not trying to do anything special.

Exactly! It's not like i can even do special things on command or anything!

None of us asked to be here. As long as we keep our heads down and not cause trouble, that should be enough.

[Jason's first thought upon hearing that question was that it could be a way to learn about another meta without the target knowing. He keeps that thinking to himself though as to not weird out the man.

He shrugs before popping in a white chocolate into his mouth]

Who knows what the hell those people are thinking?

[Yeah, but it's not always helpful at that task. He can't always tell if someone around him is a meta, or what their powers were. And magic metas... well that's just doomed from the word go.]

They're thinking that if they don't control all of the power, they're going to get in trouble and the government is going to step in and trust me, you don't want that.

Yeah. Whatever it is, it can't be good for the rest of us who want nothing to do with this crap.

Exactly. And what about those of us born with powers? I don't wanna be 'studied'.

With all the metas around, it wouldn't shock me if there are some highly secretive and morally questionable experiments going on.

And the people here that are in power know who we are, and that's a whole thing.
