[Peter lifts his head to meet the kiss, fleeting as it is, though his mind retains the image of what must feel like a blade constantly hanging down at the back of Loki's neck by a rope that he's constantly aware of and has to check the integrity of that rope but can do nothing to actually remove it. It's scary and honestly Peter can't say for sure that he'd be able to manage it himself if he were in that same position.
He sits up properly after a moment, staring at Loki for a long moment to just sort of drink him in and let all of these thoughts settle before he brings both his hands forward to take hold of the god's jaw on either side. This should probably feel like a lot. Like, a lot a lot, but somehow it just feels like it slots more into perspective for him as he draws Loki in for another kiss. Longer this time though, deeper. Something kind of anchoring and steady. It's fine. I'm fine. We're fine.
Then he draws back a little with a small, crooked smile--]
