Who: Aida Mana, Chris Yukine (separate threads) What: October Catch-all for Ty's Characters When: All through October Where: Central City, Sunset Falls, Diadem Hotel, etc. Content Warnings: Will add if needed
Aida Mana was not a girl who was used to being alone. She had always counted on her friends and family to be there for her, and more often than not, that bore fruit. Sure there were times when she ended up feeling lonely, but they were fleeting, and ultimately gave way to feelings of communion and family.
Then, everything changed on the day she fell out of the sky.
Sure, the whole underworld thing had proven interesting. She'd gotten to meet amazing heroes! And learned she was one herself, or that she was expected to be. It wasn't a big change from the whole Precure thing, but it seemed like it would open up a lot of possibilities. She'd registered with the so-called Alliance immediately, as they seemed to mostly line up with her goals. And she'd been set up in a fancy hotel, too! She had all of her, and her fairy partner Charle's, needs taken care of for the time being.
But then the realization of how far away she was from the people that mattered to her set in. Aguri. Makoto. Regina. Alice. Rikka. Her mom and dad and grandfather. Their absence was quickly felt, and it pained Mana to be apart from them.
As such, she was out on the town in Central City when one such bit of loneliness struck. Charle looked at her with concern, frowning as she floated at Mana's side.
"Mana...are you sure you're alright?" she asked.
Mana blinked, and smiled at the small, floating, rabbit-like creature. "Sure I am!" she said, doing her best to sound convincing. "Just trying to imagine all the new places and people we'll see, y'know?"
Charle frowned, but nodded. In any case, she and Mana could be found throughout the city that day, looking in shops, sitting at an outdoor cafe, or back in the Diadem Hotel. Each time, you might catch her looking pensive, and rather lonely...
[ ooc - Mana is usually accompanied by a small, rabbit-like fairy named Charle when she's un-transformed. ]
Usually Miku wouldn't be one to randomly go up to someone and strike up a conversation when she was out, especially when she was just going out shopping. But something about the girl that she was seeing at this clothes shop seemed a little... off. Or more accurately like how she could imagine she would be feeling if she hadn't managed to get lucky and have Hibiki a lot of her friends from home here with her. And considering that there was probably a good chance that the other girl wasn't from here...
Well, she ended up going over to the other girl after grabbing a couple of outfits (one that was a pink blouse and a lilac skirt and another that was a yellow sundress).
"Uh, hi there. I know this might sound a bit weird, but I'm torn between two outfits. Would you mind giving me your opinion on them?"
She knows as soon as the words leave her lips that that's a very weak thing to say if the fact that she was a Meta ever came up, but she needed something to start a conversation with besides 'Hi you look sad what's wrong?'.
Mana had dealt with a great many things since becoming a Precure. Selfishness monsters. A guy turning into a giant cellphone. You know, the usual things that came with being a magical girl. But aliens had never been one of those things.
Nevertheless, people were in trouble, and Cure Heart wasn't going to let that stand! One flashy, pink-themed transformation later, and she was leaping into the battlefield, long blonde pony-tail trailing behind her.
"You seem to have lost your love, aliens!" she announced, without a hint of irony. "I, Cure Heart will return your-AHHHH!"
Clearly the Forerunner's servants and creations weren't up on magical girl decorum, because they attacked in the middle of Cure Heart's speech! It was all the Precure could do to do her best to avoid the assault, leaping gracefully out of a long-limbed swipe at her.
"That was really rude!" she shouted, before flying into battle.
Chris didn't know how she got into this. Something about being talked into helping out with a magic ritual, and heading to Sunset Falls, and wearing a mask...like most things she got locked into, it was all a blur, and she was now stuck taking part in it.
It wasn't that she was against it, or hated it, really. It was just, she didn't know much about this mystic stuff; it all reminded her of alchemy, really. But she put on the mask anyway, which immediately took the form of a white and red ornate one, with lines of music and notes and clefs on the fringes, as well as tiny antique-looking pistols.
That seemed simple enough...until she and one of her companions were selected to take part in the nitty gritty of the ritual. That someone was her and Tsubasa, which caused Chris to blush heavily behind her mask as the two of their wrists were bound together.
They were then ushered into the pumpkin patch, set on their way, with Chris having no idea what to do or say. Eventually, however, she settled on:
Ritual and mysticism - the Kazanari household has been tied to Japan's history, it's traditions, for endless generations. While she wasn't specifically knowledgeable about it outside of what little was relevant to her current role, she had a feeling there was a great deal of that stored away, that would be accessible to her if she assumed a place as head of the Kazanari family.
Eventually.
Whenever the heck that might happen.
This, at least, was presented as a fairly straightforward affair to appease a spirit, one that sounded far more readily confirmed as real than she was used to. So, alongside Chris, she donned a mask - blue and white and grey. Swords ran diagonally across it, with musical scores written along their length. Little pairs of circles rode up the outer edge.
Chris's mask suited her quite well, she thought, as they were paired up. "It's nothing of the sort, certainly not with such a reliable partner."
