Sometimes it was good for the body and the mind to get away form the city, and when he needed to, there was only one place that was suitable to do it.
It also helped that there was a lovely little friend who he could pet sitting in his lap as Davd made another note on the paper in front of him.
"So heirloom tomatoes hard yes. What about yellow tomatoes? They're really great for a golden salsa."

It was definitely relaxing to just sit around and plan for things that had nothing to do with life or death.
"That reminds me, if you want to gather, the garlic and some of the other herbs definitely went a little wild so you can definitely restock your window planters."

So the space wouldn't be a bad thing. Though he's not sure what a reasonable distance on this was. All that Krakoan tech in his head, and he didn't know how normal plants worked as well.
"Oh, I'll definitely want to do that before I go home."

He had all kinds of printouts and seed catalogs to try to figure out what to do and when to plant. The unseasonable snows had delayed some things, but he had some ideas.
"If we're going for color, there's probably plenty of things to look into. I've already got seed for purple and golden cauliflower and the like." It might be interesting to plan most of the year for that instead of just having the typical plants.
"The soil's not acidic enough to really do the best peppers, but we can add a few varieties in along with different legumes. They look amazing when they flower." Definitely nothing wrong with having your kitchen garden also have aesthetic appeal, right?

And yeah, plant genetics are insane. David almost wants to laugh sometimes over how messy they are. He's got genetics degrees in his head and he can't really follow plants well.
"A color garden isn't a bad idea. Not what I was initially thinking, but there are values to those variants as well. The taste for one thing."
Oh, legumes, that sounds wonderful. David nods along. "I don't mind helping set up supports for them."
