( the girl with red hair nowhere near as natural as kell's is wandering the streets somewhat aimlessly. she has two devices: one she looks very comfortable using and the other which is not foreign, but not natural to her yet. she's also grumbling under her breath about fruit, hissing about blackberries dying out.
the one she's most comfortable with is rather anachronistic. stretched before her like a dowsing rod, or maybe an offering to some strange god, the little round screen on her farnsworth remains dark. the time it was born is nestled right between claudia's and kell's, looking like it might be powered by steam rather than electricity.
she's not experienced in the field. so when she notices kell's peeping, her body language immediately stiffens up with alarm. if she were a good field agent she might try to act natural, suss out what the guy's up to. instead, she makes the absolutely bizarre choice to hold the smart phone up for a selfie. her framing's terrible, as she tilts it the wrong way and takes the snap. kell is not in the picture at all claudia 0/10 you have failed. )
Keep staring, dude, I might do a trick.
( yes excellent that sounded totally confident. except when she turns to face him it's very obvious she's beyond freaked out and putting on a brave face. maybe he even saw or heard her at the fall site, flailing until she flopped out of her rescuer's grasp and breaking her wrist on impact. claudia doesn't exactly do low key, with all those patches and bright purple skinny jeans. )
the birds up there mock me.
