Jason never had many friends and he became further isolated after his death. Part of it was by choice though given how aware he is of the kind of criminal lifestyle he's taken. He's learned to always have his guard up.

So it's notable when Jason's made a truly close bond with anyone. There's sometimes a fun lightness when Jason talks about Sleeper. It's a sign of how comfortable he's grown to be with them.
