Who: Jason Todd robintohood and you! And special closed prompts with Jason Todd (reneger), Sleeper (solo_sleeper), Bucky Barnes (deadthenred), and Tim Drake (overlyprecocious).
What: Various antics Jason’s gotten into. Some are more legal than others and might be related to pod people.
When: Second half of April
Where: Central City
Content Warnings: PG13-level violence in the closed prompts. Will add more warnings if needed.

Descendant:

[It’s early evening and the Descendant Bar and Lounge is open as usual. However, compared to most nights, this night and this entire month has been kind of quiet. There aren’t as many customers and the ones who do show up sometimes leave early. Jason knows it’s because of the alien worms but business still needs to continue somehow.

He’s still doing what he can whenever he’s working as the bar’s owner. He’s attending to customers (especially the VIP ones), serving drinks and food, checking on the reading room, and sometimes has to step in as part of security to throw out a rowdy customer. Sometimes, he’s literally throwing them out. It’s good exercise.

Coincidentally, songs like “Another One Bites the Dust,” “Livin’ On A Prayer,” and brave attempts at “Bohemian Rhapsody” can sometimes be heard from the second floor’s stage]

This shit better not be prophetic.

[Regardless of what Jason’s doing, come talk to him. He could probably use the break]

Warehouse raid (Closed to the other Jason Todd, Bucky Barnes, and Sleeper):

[Ever since his other self told him he successfully robbed the D’Amicos, Jason sought out more of their bases with his gang. After all, it’s not often he gets a chance to further weaken a mob that was still recovering. After many nights and a lot of hard work, Jason soon enough found the perfect base to rob. He’s even going to have backup for tonight.

It’s nearly midnight and Jason’s at the edge of Central City, perched on the rooftop of an old brick building and fully dressed in his Red Hood gear. He has a plan and he trusts the rest of the party enough to not screw up the raid.

But as Jason stares at the warehouse a block away from him, he can’t help but frown under his helmet]

Another Productive Night (Closed to Young Justice!Tim Drake):

[It's another Central City evening and Jason's deep in his gang's territory as the Red Hood once again.

There are three motorcycles parked outside of an auto repair shop and the building’s lights are still on. Suddenly, there’s a loud commotion as Jason drags out a man and then slams him against the wall. He then pins his victim by having his forearm pressed hard against the man’s neck]

You were warned, Benny.

[As Benny struggles to breathe, two more men come out of the building. Both are in motorcycle helmets with the visors down to cover their faces and wearing gloves. One man has hands as large as a gorilla’s. Neither of these two men seem disturbed as they watch Jason begin to pistol whip Benny across the face]

[ He nods. ] Common with traumatic injuries. I still knew how to speak, and to fight, but I couldn't remember my name. They didn't know what to do with me, so they put me back on ice.

Then, after about a decade, they got an idea.

[ He takes another gulp of the drink. It burns a little; that's nice. ]

[Jason nods before drinking a little more. He's starting to fill in some of the blanks to Bucky's story now]

A cold war still means plenty of covert operations. Why leave a perfectly good body in the freezer.

[deadthenred]

[ He nods. ]

'S probably what I would've wound up doing anyway. [ Lots of special forces guys went on work with the CIA or SHIELD. ] But I would've had a say in it. And it wouldn't've been for the reds.

[robintohood]

Yeah, I can imagine. How long was this until you got back more of your memories?

[Because it sounds like it was years]

[deadthenred]

Decades. They decommissioned the Winter Soldier project in the late 80s. [ Then things got real messy. ] It was maybe 30 years after that.

[robintohood]

You stayed in ice during those 30 years?

[deadthenred]

Yeah.

[ He takes another long sip of the whiskey. ]

Was probably better'n being awake.

[robintohood]

Not hard to imagine if no one got rid of all the brainwashing in you yet. What got you out?

[deadthenred]

Cap did.

[ He takes another drink, because for a while, he sort of hated Steve for that. Not as much as he hated himself, but that's a high bar. ]

[robintohood]

So he was on ice too? I'm guessing not because of the Soviets though.

[deadthenred]

No. The Avengers found him a lot later on. Must've been a trip, missing 70 years like that.

[robintohood]

Like a 20th century Rip Van Winkle. You had to have missed a lot too.

[deadthenred]

Sure. I was late to my own life, 's'what it seems like, sometimes.

[ But he shrugs. Bucky doesn't like to throw himself pity parties. ]

Doesn't really matter if I keep winding up in another dimension.

[robintohood]

At least you're not the only one who's a frequent multidimension flyer now. This is round two for you?

[deadthenred]

If that's what they're callin' it. [ His time in New Amsterdam was as long as he'd ever been trapped in the future, or the past, or wherever. ] But I wasn't a novice back home, either.

[robintohood]

From being a time-displaced man?

[deadthenred]

That makes it sound like I need a support group.

[ "Time-displaced man". Is that what the kids are calling it? ]

My life's gone a lot of weird places. That's all. [ He has another sip of his drink, and another thought along with it. ]

[robintohood]

[Jason snorts]

Join the club. I got no room to judge about what's normal.

[deadthenred]

You have powers? [ He realizes that's a silly question, here. ] Back home, I mean.

[robintohood]

Nah. Just spent plenty of time with people who do. From what I get, my story's very similar to our mutual friend's. Costumes included.

[deadthenred]

You're younger than he is, though.

[ He's sure because that's what the other Jason told him. Bucky doesn't know if that's just the normal variation between universes— whatever that means— or there's something lurking in this Jason's future he hasn't experienced yet. ]

[robintohood]

Yeah, by a couple of years. Some stuff that happened to me recently was already years behind for him. And then he told me some things that's happened to him that sounds like crap to me.

[Like getting back with the family]

[deadthenred]

He's not really an optimist though, is he?

[ A pause. ]

There was another Bucky Barnes, the place I was at before. He was older, too.

[robintohood]

How weird was that for you? Any other big differences?

[deadthenred]

Lots. I'm younger, there was a lot of stuff he hadn't done yet. Or maybe he was never gonna do.

[ Also he had a weird conversation with Tony about how he hadn't killed his parents. ]
